Site was a long lines intermediate relay that had routes to Brookville and Springfield. Its possible that there was an intermediate route going to Wright Patterson AFB. The current function is for a HAM radio club that purchased the whole site in 2003. As operated by the HAM radio club, the tower was increased in height with another tower built on the top of it. All of the remaining long lines equipment was long scraped out in the early 90s and when the HAM radio club purchased the site in 2003 they expanded the building.
